Its a good thing there is a "list-maintainer" note the name, a policeman is
something completly different.

Bob Snyder has to my knowlage never excluded anyone from this list, he just
sends a friendly post to the guilty ones and that has included me once for
flaming Karl, which i still do sometimes and will continue to do so, however
i do it in a more polite manner which was pointed out to me by Bob himself.

The post was _OF TOPIC_ and gives information on _HOW_NOT_TO_ do it.

If Karl wants to let his users mount his drives thats upto him, oneday he
will find that someone has corrupted his /dev/hdb3 and /hdb4 and possably
his complete system because he lets them mount them READ_WRITE.
A far beter way is to export them as NFS partitions with the proper
permissions to exclude the above problem.

The above advice i have just given is also off topic, but to save other
unknowing linux newcommers grief i found it nessasary.

So my appols, must be given here for the bandwidth.

Karls hints given in his last post have absolulty no relation to this list,
it could be considered false information as one should NOT allow mounts of
that kind in gerneral, if you do you have a real security risk on your hands
when some or other hacker gets into that sort of system.

Now possably you can appricate why there has been an unknown list for some
for the past 2 years.
