I have had a few minutes (hours) spare and taken another look at my Linux
system.
I've totally re-installed RH5.2 with a clean HD, complete with the kernel
(2.0.36-0.7) source code.
I went through the kernel config, and duly selected the z8530 driver ready
for my Baycom USCC, and my ancient PacComm PC120 card. It seemed to compile
OK, then threw up an error. What? z8530.c missing? nope! not there! Checked
the source directory for drivers, and it ain't there. z8530.h is there, but
no .c!
Has anyone got it? can they send it to me as a message attachment.
It was all going so well, then.....
I have various versions of z8530 utils, but none of them have ever compiled
with my system. There has always been some sort of problem.
Despondant...
Rob.
