Nothing. Sometimes FBB simply happens to crash if it encounters
eg. a syntax error in a config file or is missing some system files.

To bring more light on this you should edit xfbb.sh to direct all
output to a certain console.
In original, all output is directed to /dev/null via &>.
Change this to /dev/tty10 to see the output on console 10, for
example.
You then very often see the reason for the erratic behaviour.

Cheers, 73

P.S.: There's a separate mailinglist for xfbb related problems; see
http://www.f6fbb.org ("mailing lists") for details.
