I managed to get Linux all set up with ax25 utils and the like. I can
transmit perfectly, but I can't seem to be able to receive packets. Here's
my current configuration:
# rmmod sb <-- These four modules are setup by default.
# rmmod uart401
# rmmod sound
# rmmod soundcore
# sethdlc -p -i sm0 mode sbc:afsk1200 io 0x220 irq 5 dma 1 pario 0x378
# ifconfig sm0 hw ax25 kc5tja-1 up
# ifconfig sm0 10.0.1.1 <-- Not really needed, I don't think, but...
# smmixer -i sm0
Anyone have any recommendations for me? I'd be most appreciative.
For anyone on this list in the Oceanside, Carlsbad, or San Diego areas, I'm
trying to access the Palomar BBS on 145.050MHz. I can see the radio
transmitting, and indeed it seems the BBS is trying to respond, which is a
good thing. But it seems that Linux is completely ignoring the audio being
received.
I have a SoundBlaster AWE 64 ISA PnP, running under Linux 2.2.1. I'm trying
to call the BBS as follows:
# call shell w6nwg-1
It reports that it keeps trying, but nothing happens. :-)
Thank you very much in advance; any input you have is greatly appreciated.
:-)
