My sincere apologies to the members of linux-hams for the out-of-control
autoresponder I unleashed this morning.
Of the three lists that I caused problems to, those who posted me from
linux-hams were, by far, the most knowledgeable and courteous. For example,
no one response to the offending address, but instead responded to my
primary address as shown on my tag line.
The problem turned out to be operator error - I had set up a filter to
autorespond - with no conditions, so Eudora did exactly what I set it up to
do - autoresponded to ALL incoming messages.
Again, Thanks very much to the kind persons who e-mailed me to let me know.
Because of their early notice, I was able to contact my wife before she
left for work and she shut down the computer until this evening when I
could figure out what happened.
