Mine also does... Debian 2.1 with glibc 2.1.1 update thanks to apt.

I personnally use net2kiss with my scc interfaces as well as bcsf0, they
are both giving the kind of output you reported here. Traffic that won't
pass through the net2kiss won't generate scc errors. So i suspect
something related with net2kiss...
I also have very severe problems with xfbb 7.01d as it always crashes as
well with any incoming packets arriving at eth0 (xfbb is not listening
on eth0's adress). I also experience some less frequent randomly
crashes.

I have personnally experienced xfbb problems and "protocol 0000 is
buggy" messages since early pre-2.2 kernels up to the last 2.2.13.
I'm really waiting for a stabilised xfbbd for 2.2.
