XfbbC as other network or telnet applications uses ip frames to communicate
with the fbb daemon which listens for ip connections. So this may explain the
crash as for other ethernet frames.

Is a Oops generated each time xfbb crashes ?

Sure, they both share the same libax25 which makes the interface with the
kernel as other ax25 applications. The only difference is that DxNet does not
listen to a IP socket except if you open an IP port. Fbb always listen to an IP
socket for the client connection.

Are other IP applications such as inetd running correctly ?

It seems that the problem could be in the IP layer.
