Just out of hospital, so i may be wrong, anyway, my TEKK KS900 needed
small changes for 9k6, i cant remember what they were or what i did,
it was about 6@7 years ago so it could be that your KS900 has these
already incorperated (possable newer model (modified??)).

I have not followed this subjuct, so i might be reaping someone else,
however reading this mail give's me the impression only software has
been discussed. I would certanly put the KS900 under a scope if one
is available. If not try comparing different sounds received from
different stn's, to determine if one stn, gives better results than
another, that should enable you to determine between a software
problem or a hardware one.

I'll stick to hardware, as i have used very much the same hardware
as well as the same kernel version and z8530drv-2.4c, as a matter of
fact i still use it all, however the only difference is i have a
PA0HZP scc card.

If possable also check your TX/RX freq, as well.
