Call-for-Papers
16. International Packet Radio Convention at Darmstadt Technical University
Hello Packet-Friends,
in contrast to all rumors there will be a Packet Radio Convention in
Darmstadt again in 2000.
However, it will be about one month earlier than in the past, on
April 1st and 2nd, 2000 (this is not an april fool)
in the "Hans-Busch-Institut" of Darmstadt Technical University.
As always, thematics include everything that concerns packet radio and
digital wireless communication in general, as node controllers, modem
concepts, RF modules, link planning, protocols, software, operating systems...
It seems there has not been much development last year in digital amateur
radio, but maybe even because of this fact there are some new concepts or
projects which could be presented.
As always,
- we have two big rooms reserved for lectures
- there will be a scriptum where the contributions are documented
- on the first floor we have an exhibition area with network access where
new developments can be presented
- the big lecture rooms can also be used for workshops, in addition to this
we also have some smaller rooms
We need speakers and contributions.
Everybody who would like to make a contribution, provide a lecture,
or supervise a workshop please contact me in the next weeks, if possible with
a little 3-sentence abstract and an idea how long your lecture/workshop will
take.
If your ideas/project fits into this we would be happy to welcome you to the
convention.

| Deadline for scriptum contributions is March 27, 2000 |

Guidelines for scriptum contributions are appended.

Guidelines for scriptum contributions
-------------------------------------
General:
All articles are collected by an editor and together form the DIN-A4 sized
scriptum which is then professionally copied and bound in the neccessary
volume. The copyrights remain at the authors.
The editorial staff prints the articles (if neccessary) and after this adds
page numbers and head lines. The articles are sorted and a table of contents
is created. To ensure a reasonable look of the result, it is neccessary that
the authors respect the following guidelines:
media: We accept paper, cdrom (ISO9660) oder floppy disk (MSDOS fs)
file format: PostScript or LaTeX Source
It does not matter which tools the documents are created
with or which font types etc. have been used as long as we
can print it out. Please send ready-to-print postscipt
files if possible.
page format: DIN-A4
page borders: left: 3 cm
right: 2.5 cm
upper: 3 cm
lower: 3.5 cm
language: english or german
Your article should not be much longer than ten (10) pages. If you need more
space, please contact me.
There is - however - no lower limit on size.
As stated above: Please don't add any page numbering!
