2.0.35 and later go well with ax25-utils-2.1.42a. Used that for a
year here. Skip the kernel patching section of AX25-HOWTO, 2.0.35+ 
kernels carry the patch in them.

You will need the new stuff with 2.2.x kernels. Look at 
ftp.hes.iki.fi.

I would like to see good reasons to jump to 2.2.13 on my DX2.

I use the same calls on all ports, just like I did under MSDOS with
node, FBB, JNOS and DXNET. Of course, Linux requires its own
callsign-ssid per port. Read the Netrom Node mini HOWTO, and take a
look at John Ackermann's site, www.febo.com.
