Hi, Just FYI: The Friedrichsafen Hamfest which takes place from 22th to 24th june this year is the biggest one in Europe as far as I know (~20k visitors each year). If you are planning to attend the hamfest and are interested in linux, there are three things you probably don't want to miss: 1. we (1409.org) will be at the ADACOM stand presenting the new version of LinKT for KDE2, probably gpsk31 and other software. We have prepared some CD-R with LinKT and KDE2 Beta binaries and lots of other hamradio software from the net (everything i was able find ;). We will giving this away for the cost of the media (but don't mind if you give more to help us compensate our domain-costs etc). In addition we will register PGP fingerprints and sign the keys after the fair. This is part of our PGP campaign which I announced @dl some weeks ago. 2. SuSE has its stand at the Hamfest and will show APRS under Linux. Even if you can't attend the fair and you don't speak german, don't miss to have a look at their website (http://www.suse.de/de/linux/docu/ham/index.html) because of the neat ham-tux graphic. 3. Kai, dl3lba, will give a lecture about hamradio and linux. (Thursday, 12:00h) 73s Hans-Peter DG4IAD -- Hans-Peter Zorn, Karlsruhe, Germany http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~uhsm/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] (preferred) http://1409.org/people/hp/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] (hamradio stuff)
