That's interesting. I know there is a problem with some versions of
MFJ and TAPR firmware where the KISS params will reset, but haven't
heard of it happening with PacComm or dedicated KISS firmware. The
reset I am talking about was introduced by N2WX into the firmware to
supposedly "cure" an obscure KISS problem which nobody seems to
understand and is hard to duplicate (although the reset can cause
serious problems itself for anyone who does not use the defaults).
I've used dedicated KISS eproms for thousands of hours without
problems. The JKISS image which comes with BPQ has been very reliable.
