The power supply is available at Computer Surplus

How do you get a bigger font on the Sparc CG6 console under RedHat 6
I've been unable to get 2.2.11 to compile and use a larger font.
Am I the only over 40 geek who would like at least 80x37 or 80x24 lines
without stressing the old Sparc2 with X11 for quick sysadmin?

AFAIK, the BP6 is the only dual Socket 370 board available.
The other option is a dual Slot 1 board and two of the
slotket adapters with SMP Celeron support. This will be
more expensive, so I don't recommend it unless you already
have a dual Slot 1 board you're not using, or need onboard
SCSI.
I have a BP6. It's a great board, if you can avoid the
temptation to use the UDMA/66 controllers.

If it has jumpers, it's probably supported. I got my ISA modem to work by
doing the following:
1. I needed to set the jumpers to Com 2 and IRQ 3.
2. I set the BIOS to auto detect
3. Use modemtool under redhat to set the correct port (COM2) to modem.

I have searched deja.com but I have not really found any questions/answers
to my particular problem.
Today I was (trying) to help a friend install a new scsi tape drive &
older Advansys ABP510 Bus-Master (ISA) card.
My friend has RH 5.2
I tried to use the advansys.o module which came with RH but I kept getting
having timeout problems as it tried to probe each device (0 through 6).
(This was with the tape drive set as device 1 (the first))
I never seen a sign of the tape drive.
If I changed the tape drive to any number other then 1 (first) it will
modprobe would stop after it had a timeout error while probing the first
device and would not go any further.
After looking over post via deja.com it I though I might have a bad cable
so I tried a few other cables (These are scsi-2 devices) but no difference.
The tape drive as a "termination" jumper which is set. I did not have a
cable terminator to try.
As I use SlackWare I booted off a scsinet.s slack boot disk and it had the
same affects as when I was trying to use the RH module.
Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
- Justin
