add the hebrew keybord layout in Kcontrol, and use alt+ctrl+k to switch 
between the layouts that you want to use...

i dont use mandrake, but try "locate inetd.conf" to find it.

from /etc/rc.d/init.d
go there and use ./servicename stop to stop a service.
if i remember correctly, mandrake control center has a GUI feature that lets 
you pick which services are to be started a boot, which manually and which 
are disabled.
