No, it is not the solution, and because more than one reason. First of all, let's say that 1 of 10 people that receive viruses with my "name" as the sender, sends a reply to me. Even in that cases, the e-mails are sent without the headers. But in any case, I can't know the "Received:" headers of at least 90% of the messages. So there are thousands of people that are sure that I sent them a virus, and will never talk with me again, of course not respond to the message/virus, but only curse me in their heart. I'll never know that they think so about me, even if one day I'll try to sell them something, and they will have a story why they don't need it, while the real reason is that "I'll never buy anything from a person who infected my disk and damaged all my critical data!". And even with the rest 10%, it's impossible to contact the ISP's, because there is no specific ISP, but all of the world ISP's. It's very nice of the subscribers of this list that everybody volunteers to help or find solutions for this problem, from using amAVis, to checking the headers. But the sad truth is that there is no solution. Maybe except for publishing ads in all the leading newspapers in the world, telling everybody: "The viruses that you've received from us were sent to you from friends of you, not from us"... -- Eli Marmor [EMAIL PROTECTED] CTO, Founder Netmask (El-Mar) Internet Technologies Ltd. __________________________________________________________ Tel.: +972-9-766-1020 8 Yad-Harutzim St. Fax.: +972-9-766-1314 P.O.B. 7004 Mobile: +972-50-23-7338 Kfar-Saba 44641, Israel ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
