It would probably be illegal to deduct that 50 NIS as an expense. Since when is meeting friends and going to a movie a deductable expense?? :) (but I'm not a lawyer, etc.). Under this scheme, from any leftover money, roughly 50% goes to the Israeli government. Not exactly the Linux NPO I'd want to contribute more money too, even if they do go ahead with the plans to fund bidi development :) But if it's the most convenient way for the organizers, I suggest we choose this option without looking back. > 2. Do you expect 50 shekels to be too much? If so, I suggest you take a lower charge from people who might not come because of the price (kids, soldiers, muvtalim, etc.), say 20 shekels. If it's still too much income, donate the rest to the FSF. As a group of friends, not a legal business entity. -- Nadav Har'El | Tuesday, Jul 30 2002, 21 Av 5762 [EMAIL PROTECTED] |----------------------------------------- Phone: +972-53-245868, ICQ 13349191 |Hindsight is always 20:20 http://nadav.harel.org.il | ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
