Netscape 4.7x is a browser which I stopped using almost completely, and
specifically don't support on my site (I use CSS, which is broken there).
When people refer to Netscape they refer to Netscape 6.1/6.2/7.0, which
although have bugs of its own is much more standards compliant, displays
correct HTML and is actively developed. I don't blame Globes for denying
access to you, because supporting Netscape 4.76 is not something that is
expected.
I use very basic HTML in my files, but I also use CSS, because it makes
customization easier and is more friendly to people with disabilities.
(and the :hover property is very cool).
Please compile Mozilla for your platform. I compiled Mozilla several times
(from the RPM Spec) and its compilation and installation went very
smoothly. Takes a very long time, but works without a problem.
