There is still something I am curious about. I did *not* find it in the sources of mainstream 2.4.18 or 2.4.20 kernels (neither was precisely the same patchlevel as yours though; however, the former is older and the latter is younger than 2.4.18-19 that you use - wait, is it a RH or another vendor kernel?). When you mentioned Google search I actually googled for the config macros and found a patch. Now you are saying it has been incorporated in mainstream kernels?
