I've wasted hours GOOGLEing since I last wrote about this problem. The wierdest thing is that the error message seems to be random. Below are the error messages I got only a minute apart. The first one says that the device is busy and a minute later that the device doesn't exist. Needless to say, I made no changes between the two tests.
One thing that someone suggested on one of the forums I looked on was to turn the printer on and off a few times - but that didn't help. And as I already wrote before, in Mandrake 8.1 the printer works. Can anyone suggest what may have changed in the Mandrake 9.0 USB support? BTW - I still haven't found any sort of utlity to **look at** the USB bus. Maybe I could find something that way. Any suggestions - PLEASE !!!
