Hi,

Can you see something wrong with my posts? I haven't recieved my own post back
but I am recieving every other mail on the list, and you've cc'd your reply
to me for some reason (and I have recieved 2 copies of it). I only subscribed
yesterday and this was my first post so I may be missing something...

Well, he did say he didn't need performance as such and that he'd have used
vmware if it wasn't so expensive. And boch's speed is a function of your host
computer, obviously. It is good for some purposes, in some situations.
Perhaps not in his. But I used it to play with different distros at one point
and it was tolerable (barely). The new 2.0 tree is supposed to be fast enough
to run windows apps tolerably (once it's started up anyway).

I looked it up, http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/plex86/ and it looked
revived. I only glanced at it though. Now I've looked at it more throughly
and realized you're right, all the activity there was support & the porting
to bochs that you mentioned.
http://mail.nongnu.org/archive/html/plex86-devel/2002-12/msg00016.html looks
promising on the speed frontier, now :-)
