The GPL FAQ at http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html is interesting
reading, if you're a license geek.

For example, see
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#MereAggregation, "What is the
difference between "mere aggregation" and "combining two modules into
one program"?" and the "Combining work with code released under the
GPL" section.

It's important to remember that the GPL has never been tried in
court. That means that you may have your opinion what this means, and
I may have mine, and our lawyers can have their (highly paid for)
opinions, but ultimately, there is no precedent to what a *judge*
might decide it means.
