Should I mention WHO was the one that published the confidential EXCEL (EXCEL!) spreadsheet with the e-mails etc., to linux-il? That table contained details that were MUCH MORE personal than e-mail (e.g mobile numbers). It included Very Important Persons, like a managar of a TASE trading company, which is one of the largest IT groups in Israel. So if you wonder how your address reached the spammers, ask the person who published it here (the rest of you: please don't try to look for it in the archives; That message was removed from there). By the way: As far as I know, Peli would never act in such a way. And you can argue about his "marketing book", but it's impossible to argue with his impressive marketing success. In any case, I don't want to start a new flaming war; I just want all of us to unite around this effort. Their last Linux event, brought 600 (IIRC) people, and the current one has all the chances to attract more than 1000. Without People and Computers, we will never reach such numbers. So your purposes, Gilad, should be blessed, but try to think about all the sides and considerations. -- Eli Marmor [EMAIL PROTECTED] CTO, Founder Netmask (El-Mar) Internet Technologies Ltd. __________________________________________________________ Tel.: +972-9-766-1020 8 Yad-Harutzim St. Fax.: +972-9-766-1314 P.O.B. 7004 Mobile: +972-50-23-7338 Kfar-Saba 44641, Israel ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
