In any case please report back your findings.
BTW: A few years ago the warranty of the manufacture was longer then
what some local dealers were willing to give. As such it was sometimes
beneficial to ship a broken disk abroad for in warranty repair. Does
the same holds today? Didn't the manufactures cut their standard
warranty period to only 1 year?
