Hell Clan, I have a 3 hour long VHS I need to convert / encode to a digital media format that can fit on a CD (so it can be distributed).
Here is the catch: The format must be GPLed / Open Sourse. I have no experiance doing any video encoding. This is what I have: A Celleron 850 MHz 256 MB RAM A 30 Gb (free) HDD A TV Capture Card MDK 9.1 installed with Mencoder, MPlayer (ver 0.90-rc4), XawTV (ver. 3.85).
