The projects you all had offered can be good. During the lesson I offered 4 projects: libagent, syscalltack, kinneret and carmel as 4 different areas (the project were chosen without any meaning). I considered to prepare a list of options and while doing it I found that : (a) I choose things that I find interest and (b) If you give students a list, 90% of them will choose one of the listed projects. The first 2 weeks are intended to search for projects. Some of them arrived to me several times with ideas and we talk about. This interaction is great! This is one of the first time when I see students feel emotionally involved! In the next lecture I will give them this thread as reference to get ideas and to see things roll over. I prefer not to publish project list.
