Mono does seem like a good lecture, I would really like to hear about it.

However there are things to be solved before: like winforms.
I have yet managed to use winforms in mono, since it needs a non standard 
patch for wine. I tried installing the redhat packages in my mandrake and it 
did not work (I installed the mdk packages for the rest). 

I also am waiting for SharpDevelop to be usable in linux. It does look like a 
sexy enviroment, and I have used SharpDevelop back in the 0.8 stages, I heard 
that it rocks ass now.
