Hi all!
I recently had to upgrade my computer. I re-installed Mandrake 9.1 on it.
Everything except the sound works great, and I can use X11 and connect to
the Internet. However, I have problems with the sound.
I have an on-board AC'97 card. I set all the mixer settings to
near-maximal volume, and the apps actually play sound (xmms displays these
waveforms), but no sound is heard. The card is on-board and works
perfectly fine in Windows 98'.
Here are some files and settings:

The board is Intel D865PERL. So far I've tried everything (aumix,
alsamixer, amixer, kmix). Nothing I tried works.

Writing a BitKeeper replacement is probably easier at this point than getting
its license changed.
