I seem to have this problem reaching actcom.co.il sub domains unelss I
use a proxy in Israel.

I don't have any problem accessing other sites in Israel. e.g.
ynet.co.il, walla.co.il etc.

Rebooted my machine into windows which seem to be able connect using a
non-israeli proxy.

my machine shows:

eth0 is a built-in 3com which I never used before. eth1 is dhcp'ed
orinoco wireless.

irelevant of proxy settings, weather foriegn or local. ping and otheres
timeout as well.

* this seems to be the case with most addresses though weather
accessible with my browser or not.

My setup is:

1. linux debian --> wifi acess point gw (192.168.253.1) --> speedtouch
adsl router (10.0.0.138)

2. linux debian -> direct cable to access point gw ... etc

both seem to have the same problem

10x for any advise.
