Hi,

I know this is the Linux-IL mailing list, but I am not sure how many of you out there
know:
OpenVPN (an excellent project for VPN support) now has a very stable (Just don't
Ctrl-C the Console Window :] ) Windows port of their VPN client (and server).

What it basically means:
1) You can VPN between Linux/Windows (each can be a server or client)
2) You can VPN with other products Solaris, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD, and Mac OS X.

Why OpenVPN:
1) Free
2) Supports encryption (believe it or not, some implementations of VPN, non commercial
of course, do not support strong encryption)
3) Supports compression (LZO based)
4) Support standard Certificates (RSA, and the works)
5) Works :)

Does it works with SecureClient, Cisco's VPN ... I don't know :)

Anyhow long story short... http://openvpn.sourceforge.net/ and get the BETA (if you
need Windows support).

I have some experience with OpenVPN, under Windows... So I might be able to help, with
certain problems...

Thanks
Noam Rathaus
