Sorry, didn't know it is debian specific.
Anyone there was no information on what/where the problem is and its a
bit difficult diagnosing anything without any data.
If I am not mistaken pon takes the output from /var/log/messages so the
output of the connection details can come from there also.
How do you "dial" with other distribs?
