Yesterday's news item in Maariv is probably the cause. Following that article (which,
by the way, caught us by surprise as well) there was a huge increase in download
attempts of GNU/Linux Kinneret.

Prior to that article, the download attempts counter was at 1800. A few minutes a go
it is at 6339. I don't know how many successful downloads were completed.

By the way, the download counter in Berlios is showing 11052 downloads for Kannery and
3504 for Kazit.

There is an alternative download link. However, since that link is not shown on our
home page, it would not help to publicize it before the homepage is changed (which I
can't do at the moment).

As for BitTorrent, that is possible (we even have all the infrastructure in place as
we plan to distribute development version 0.7.2 that way). We can work out the details
to make sure the downloads from Hamakor will also use this method, later on.

Probably yes. I'm not sure what that is. Is it online? Can you give me a
link?

I'm not even sure there IS an alternative source.

I'll put up a page tommorow morning that tells people how to download it
with bittorrent. Of course, this requires that I know how to make it
available via bittorrent.
