Hello! I read here: http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/errata
that "Arabic and Hebrew display problems The installer does not have the BIDI support necessary for proper display of Arabic and Hebrew text." Can someone write a quick report on Hebrew in Sarge? What is the currently state of the installer translation, the Hebrew packages that the installer will install (If I chose Hebrew...) and so on. And what is going on with BIDI writing and GTK(2.4.0)? "Bidirectional editing and interface flipping improvements GTK+ now automatically determines the base direction for label and text-entry widgets based on their contents, rather than requiring it to be specified by the application; this gives a much better user experience when editing mixed right-to-left and left-to-right text. Support for user-interface mirroring in right-to-left locales has now been extended to cover virtually all widgets." http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtk-app-devel-list/2004-March/msg00178.html So in gnome 2.6.0 it will be possible to write RTL in gedit (Like in QT)? BTW, This is my first post to this list, I hope you can understand my bad English. Thanks, Yuval. ================================================================= To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
