Care to remark about Hebrew support?

I'm currently using imp. It's almost a single "apt-get install", but it has difficulties sending Hebrew mails. The encoding is wrong on send, and the receipient receives the letters as "&1472;" escapes, which are not easilly decyphered even if you understand what they mean.
