Not exactly. I don't need my own dedicated machine. What I would like is
control over my setup. Most "virtual hosting" setup, as the multi domain
servers are called, are extremly limited in what they provide - for example
POP, but not IMAP, or very limited number of email accounts, or lack of
features (ability to installed procmail scripts etc.)

So what I need is the flexability and control of a dedicated server with the
price point that comes when you share hardware with other users.

In the big world there are solutions that meet my requirement which are known
as "virtual private servers" which rely on some form or another of OS
virtualizations, be it the VServer projects I mentioned, UML or similar
technologies for *BSD OS (for example, these guys: http://www.escapebox.net)

My problem is that I haven't found a service provider that supports this in
Isreal.

Same thing with the hosting providers and I've looked.

Yes, I have researched the out of Israel price points. The service I look for
costs somewhere between 15$ - 70$ (depending on resource usage and amount of
sharing with other users) outside of Israel and I'm OK with a
35$ level for my specific needs. However, as I said I could not locate such a
service in Israel.

Since Actcom offers 100$/month for a *dedicated server* it's obvious that a
"virtual private server" will cost less, so I don't see why you think so.

The location of the machine is irrelevant. High bandwidth and fast response
time form Israeli connected networks is.

I don't think you understood the service I'm looking for exactly. Think of a
single server running multiple competly seperated *BSD style jail() systems,
with different IPs + a backup service. Single hardware, multiple OS
"instanaces" or the apperanace of such.

Hey, if no one really sells them in Israel maybe it's a business opurtunity.
Anyone want to grab it? I'm willing to pay the first few month by creating
all the software setup required for such a solution, I just don't want the
headache to manage it afterwards... :-)

Thanks,
Gilad
