Selon Micha Feigin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Don't know which of them you want to change, but the following works for
 me:

 \screen_font_roman "guttman yad"
 \screen_font_sans "guttman yad"
 \screen_font_typewriter "guttman yad"
 \screen_font_encoding "iso10646-1"

although it complained about not being able to open character set (it
doesn't seem like lyx has a utf character set file). Setting the encoding
 to

 \screen_font_encoding "iso8859-8"

also seemed to work BTW.

that's what I do by Edit>preferences>fonts> Roman...
or by changing lyxrc
but I got the problem I announced previously.
changes (guttman yad) works in english (isn't weird?) but not in hebrew.
I thought that I could just write in english and not in hebrew (cursives) when
language is set to English.
Take note though that all of this won't affect the final output
(dvi/ps/pdf) for that you have a much harder work of teaching latex to
 use the font.
any howto page ?
I realized it when I previewed my document in postscript.
Moreover, The english words which appear in hebrew (if font is set to guttman)
appear like in english in the preview.
