Actaully at least with office 2003 it works just fine. I exported the file to office format, opened it on another computer and fixed it (I had to send it in office format anyway). Office does have the advantage though that it knows the systems language so it can take that into account. Only thing I can think about that can help this under linux is if there is a hebrew ) and an english ). Otherwise maybe something that linux can use is to attach a direction value to a keymap so that interested programs can quarry whether the keymap corresponds to right-left or left-right language. I don't mind doing the work if people think that there may be interest in such a thing. > Danny Lieberman > www.software.co.il > +972-8-970-1485(voice) > +972-54-447-1114(Cell) > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Micha Feigin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Friday, October 29, 2004 2:32 AM > Subject: OO and problems parentheses in mixed hebrew/english text > > > > I am having problems in open office putting parentheses around english > text > > inside hebrew paragraphs when the ending parentheses is at the end of > hebrew > > test.
