I'll leave that to you do decide. What's wrong with using already
exiting open protocols? Someone mentioned in this thread that "experts"
did not like the SIP implementations for Linux. Why not improve them?

Broadband over Power Lines. A way of sending data using powerlines. It
has failed every test run so far, including those in Israel. Powerlines
were designed to transmit electrical power not radio waves. It's a huge
waste of money and a disaster for anyone that uses radio devices.

yes it would of, but why not both?

I'm for it too. I'm so for it, I invested $10,000 in a startup to offer
free advertiser supported wifi in public places. It failed because Intel
started the no charge wifi service in Jerusalem. I say no charge instead
of free, because I and every other Jerusalem resident and business
pay for it with our arnona.

But Google is not, IMHO the company to do it. Other companies will simply
fold or not even start up, being afraid that they day after they open
up a Google network will be announced for their area and no one will
by advertising from them or fund their companies.

You'll end up like Jerusalem is now, no wifi in most places, bad coverage
were there is any and you footing the bill.

I agree with that, but next time you try to hire a programer and find
you can't afford one, don't complain to me.

It's starting to work, Yahoo has surpassed Google.
