I don't know. Maybe one or another of this list's subscribers can
divulge a secret or two... ;-)

Now, let's get serious, and look at, say, the Chinese. They build the
computers :-), one of the stated reasons for development of Red Flag
Linux was lack of trust in Microsoft, and I bet there are tons of
home-grown applications, some of which are used by government and
military. I don't actually know, but I would be extremely surprised if
there weren't.

I would also be very surprised to discover that the Russians have
abandoned their national paranoia and used Windows to run critical
military applications.

In other recent news, both the the Brits and the Aussies demanded the
complete source code for the Joint Strike Fighter software and
firmware to avoid dependency on the US.

I hope no one will suggest that all the decision-makers in the British
Commonwealth, China, and Russia are intellectually challenged.
