Hi,
I'm looking for a local source for a gum stick sized USB MP3 player.
What I'm looking for:
1. Linux support. All of the ones I've tried so far only work
with Windows. They all use the same buggy USB disk emulator.
2. Cheap. 100-200 NIS is about what I want to spend. 256m is more
than enough.
3. LCD screen that displays ID3 tags.
4. Forward/backward navigation inside a file.
5. Optional: AA battery instead of AAA battery. The AA Nimh batteries
last three times as long as the AAA. Battery life is an issue,
I use it for audiobooks and get between 18 and 24 hours in 256meg.
Features such as a radio, microphone, line level record, carrying case,
earphones, etc are common on these units, but I have no need of them. If
they are there, I don't care, but won't spend extra money for them.
Most important is the Linux support, second is price.
Thanks in advance.
Geoff.
