1. http://nfs.sourceforge.net/nfs-howto/ar01s05.html (from googling "tuning nfs on linux"), apparently it's a bit dated but still relevant. 2. Try switching to NFS v4, it's supposed to fix many design screw ups in previous versions of the protocol. 3. Stick to TCP, as far as I can tell. --Amos
