servers != laptops What is true for servers does not hold good for laptops. My experience with non Microsoft OSes on laptops is that the vendors expect the buyer to install another OS which is de-installed from the machine he is trashing. There is no other sane reason for not shipping a good GUI based distro (unless there is a restrictive agreement in place between the vendors and the other OS vendor. -- Mahesh T.
