Is it the case that each time ur machine is switched on it is asking DHCP to
give a NEW address or. DHCP leases that for som e days.
So if it leasing then this problem is not just when trying to get new IP
address but while getting card's driver loaded. What is happening is the
transceiver is handled properly in the driver. But this usually doesn't
create much problem. I have one card which is having transceiver problem but
no problem in functionality!!

Now if your machine also is not facing any problem in communication and just
these messages are problem then compile that driver with higher DEBUG level.
which will stop writing that LOG . writing to log also makes transfers slow.

and that packet loss problem is not that serious at driver level.. TCP/IP
will take care of that. These loss problems can be at hardware
evel..( don't care..much )
