Nope Binand, nuthin of that sort. Checked that out. No IP clash, so the above one is 
ruled out.

Well, the card I am using is listed in the PCMCIA HOWTO and in the SUPPORTED.CARDS 
section of pcmcia package also.
So, I think even this can be ruled out.
