The problem with the old naming was that linux-india was a very general
name. The traffic flowing in the list was varied. And this tended to put
some people off the list. Newbies were overwhelmed by the technical depth
of some of the conversations here and the more experienced users were tired
of answering the same questions (Sis graphics cards for example) over and
over again.
What we decided to do was to "partition" linux-india into sub groups with
specialized areas. linux-india-general and linux-india-advocacy should now
take care of general and PR issues. linux-india-help will be exclusively
to answer installation / configuration questions. And
linux-india-programmers should take care of highly technical programming
issues.
> Is this an end of linux-india era?
No. It is merely a division.
