Hmm... you mean a command executable by a particular group [gid <
certain] and put many 'trusted' users in that group? Or by aliasing your
'shutdown' <three finger salute will be possible only form the consol,
but you know that already> to something other than shutdown [say a
script] which checks whether the user's name exists in a conf file and
then shuts down? [In which case shutdown.allow is the best solution] Or
did I miss the point altogether?
