Aha, you seem to have a configuration similar to mine...except that
X-Windows runs perfectly on my SiS6326. You didn't say what exactly was the
problem. The VGA card was detected, which suggests that your SiS6326 is not
the problem (stop maligning these poor SiS cards.....they are the poor man's
Matrox Millenium)....did you configure your monitor properly? What does the
messages during startup say? Get the manuals for your monitor out and using
xf86setup configure the monitor for a resolution it supports.Once you have
the Xwindows running, you can fine tune the settings using XF86Setup that
runs within the GUI.
