Hi,

I have two problems

1.I have a 2.1 Gb hardisk and it is partitioned as follows. Now i wish to
install Windows 98 on my system using a 800 MB FAT32 partition. How
can i do it without losing my exsiting data?

Name Flags Part Type FS Type [Label] Size (MB)
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    hda1 Boot Primary Linux ext2 18.58
    hda5 Logical Linux ext2 2025.17
    hda6 Logical Linux swap 68.13

2. I have a 33.6 Rockewell chipset external modem. I have observed that at the
same speed surfing through windows 98 is faster than in linux. Why is this
happening? I have never been able to reach 1.5K/Sec while downloading whereas
in windows the speed often goes upto 2-2.5K/Sec. The following is the output
of the setserial command on /edv/ttyS1(to which my modem is connected).
How can i set the FIFO buffers to maximum.

/dev/ttyS1, Line 1, UART: 16550A, Port: 0x02f8, IRQ: 3
Baud_base: 115200, close_delay: 50, divisor: 0
closing_wait:3000, closing_wait2: infinte
Flags: spd_normal skip_test

Please help me.

Thank You in advance.
Pranjal Srivastava.
