Hi,

I'm trying to setup our Linux machines to send, receive and distribute mails
over a VSNL dial-up... with very limted success.
I've tried to do the following.
1. Setup our DNS, by having a forward and reverse lookup.
If I do nslookup with the ip address it gives the MX record
If I do nslookup with domain name it says unresolvable. But if I do
nslookup with mail.+ADw-domain name+AD4- it gives it address.
2. I have a netscape communicator with pop server pointing to this linux
box.
If I send mails from the Linux box using mail utilitiy I can receive the
mail.
3. I have setup the smtp to point to mail.+ADw-domain name+AD4-.
Now when I send a mail, I get a message in netscape which is 192.168.+ACo-.+ACo-
RELAY error. Please check your mail address. My from mail address is +ADw-my
name+AD4AQAA8-domain name+AD4-
    I checked /var/log/maillog.
    the message looks as follows.
