hi
there is usually discrepency in the size reported and the actual
size of the installed packages ( from my experience with redhat linux
6.0). try giving 400+ mb to / partition. even if that doesn't work
increase it to somewhere near 500mb.
i hope this helps.

Folks,
I'm trying to install Corel Linux (from the Chip CD) on a machine with
2.1GB HDD. After selecting packages from the custom install screen, I
select the edit partition information -> Delete the existing DOS
partition -> Create Linux partitions as -
/ = 350M
swap = 32M
/usr = 600M
/home = 1000M
When I select next to proceed for installation, I get the message that
says that the packages can not be installed as the size of partition is
smaller than the packages selected. However, the total size of packages
is close to 300M.
Any clues?
TIA
Mannu
