Hello folks
Lately, I kept getting errors fetching mail from my pop3 / imap servers -
connect to localhost port 25 failed, transaction error 10.
Basically it couldn't open a connection to my local sendmail. This has
popped up on the list more than once -- so here's the fix (thanks to the
fetchmail faq at http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/fetchmail)
I've used procmail as the mda now
defaults
forcecr
poll mailandnews.com with proto pop3 no dns
user r.suresh with password "***" is user r.suresh here and wants mda "sed -e
'1s/^\t/Received: /'| formail | /usr/bin/procmail -d r.suresh"
fetchall
Hassle - when I bounce messages to another mail id, sometimes the full
headers are included in the message itself, with a fresh set of headers.
[bounced msg headers]
[full headers of original mesg]
[text]
Any fix in the formail / sed syntax (which I don't know too well)?
tia
